Tiffany Stephen’s Using Biden’s Style Of Campaigning

Why is Tiffany Stephens running for mayor? Does she really want to be Naperville’s next mayor? Maybe her goal is simply to be on the ballot. One thing is for sure, if she wants to be elected, she needs to pronounce the word ‘Naperville’ with a long ‘a’ and not a short ‘a’.

The League of Women Voters held an online forum and while candidates Scott Wehrli and Benny White participated, Stephens was nowhere to be seen. That’s an interesting strategy; yet it did work for Joe Biden. Maybe Stephens is thinking, if it worked for Joe, it can work for her. Biden kept in the basement, occasionally venturing out for an ice cream cone.

One would think if Stephens is looking for a friendly venue, The League of Women Voters of Naperville would be an ideal opportunity for her since she is the only woman on the ballot for mayor. Frankly it’s amazing she qualified, considering Naperville’s residency requirement which in her case was a little sketchy at best. The Naperville Electoral Board voted two to one to keep her on the ballot. The issue was the requirement to reside in Naperville for a full year prior to the election, and in her case, specifically between April 4th, 2022 and June 30th, 2022. Both Mayor Steve Chirico and councilman Paul Hinterlong decided to accept her story of  residency, while City Clerk Pam Gallahue wasn’t convinced and held firm with the residency requirement. It’s possible Chirico and Hinterlong wanted to avoid further legal proceedings, and let the voters decide.

Rather than Stephens forging ahead with vim and vigor for the favorable ruling, she has been a no-show, which again begs the question, why does she want to be on the ballot? Is it because simply being a mayoral candidate for the fourth largest city in Illinois, comes with its share of clout and prestige? If that’s the case, consider her goal accomplished, and let’s elect either Scott Wehrli or Benny White; someone who wants to be the mayor vs. someone who would like to be the mayor.

Her candidacy is odd. Many in town have suggested she is a plant to split votes with Benny. She’s not a serious candidate, so I can’t see her getting many votes.

    • I am so so happy that my name Tiffany Stephens is being recognized, that means GOD is moving through a lot of people who needs him. Yes! I am a plant by GOD, to get people like you all away from the abnormal stereotype you all sit around and gossip about all day. I work and help your kids and teens in Naperville all day, and have put sweat equity in our communities and because I choose to run for mayor of Naperville it’s odd. You all wonder why the kids when they grow up doesn’t want to live here, it’s because the high hatred standards they see and hear you guys talk about everyday behind close doors. I am praying that I win this election and if not I believe GOD has opened up a lot of people’s eyes, that everyone deserves a chance to make a difference in the world and the place they call home. There needs to be new leadership in the city of Naperville, starting from the top and working all the way down to the bottom. The only way Naperville will continue to be great and survive is people need to change their hearts, starting with LOVE. I believe I will be a great mayor for the city of Naperville and that’s not for you all to decide, it’s left up to the voters in our Naperville communities to decide. Blessings! ??

Tiffany, thank you for helping to take votes from Scott Wehrli. The latest polling has Benny ahead and that so to you Scott is behind. Keep up the good work.

I find it odd Benny wants to be Mayor of Naperville. Afterall, his wife Kim runs around Naperville all the time telling everyone within earshot how racist everyone in Naperville is. Why would Benny want to be Mayor in a town his wife hates so much?
